Longsight is one of Manchester’s most culturally diverse areas. This vibrant and bustling neighbourhood has the superb Longsight Library and Learning Centre to match, with newspapers and books available in many different languages. So if your newspaper is in Bangla or Urdu, you’ll find it here. If you want your picture books in Polish, the library has a good stock, and if you like your fiction in Farsi, you’re in the right place.
The library also hosts a regular coding club, spoken word evenings and film screenings, too. And there's free wifi and computer services (plus classes such as beginner-level digital skills to consider).
All of Manchester's libraries have restricted and changing opening hours due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions; check with individual libraries for opening times before you set out.
