Located in the heart of the Northern Quarter in a former Victorian fish and poultry market, Manchester Craft and Design Centre (MCDC) has been thriving for over 35 years. Housing two floors of contemporary craft studios, it is home to some of Manchester’s most talented artists, designers and makers, selling ceramics, textiles, jewellery, sculpture, prints, fine art and much more.
The centre hosts an exciting and varied exhibitions programme, showcasing the best of both British and international contemporary craft and design. Additionally, this brilliant set-up also offers a popular events programme for anyone who is looking to get creative and learn something new from the resident artists and exhibitors.
And if all of that sounds like thirsty work, the centre has its very own Oak Street Cafe on the ground floor where you can refresh and refuel.
