The village is the home to the National Basketball Performance Centre, the National Speedway Stadium and Belle Vue Leisure Centre, which has recently completed a £200,000 gym refurbishment. Following its renovation, the leisure centre boasts a community gym with cardio and free weights, a separate female-only area, 2 multi-use sports halls, 2 all-weather football pitches and a dance studio. Belle Vue Sports Village is also home to the Belle Vue Aces Speedway Team and the National Speedway Academy. The academy is a motorcycling centre of excellence, nurturing the next generation of riders. Additionally, the National Basketball Performance Centre is the hub for England’s National Teams and offers basketball opportunities to all members living in surrounding areas. With 3 state of the art courts and seating capacity for 2000 people, the centre really gives Manchester a sporting boost.
