What is climbing?

The two main types of climbing offered by the climbing walls are bouldering and roped climbing. 

Bouldering is climbing in its purest form. Boulder problems are short climbs above padded crash mats which provide a soft landing if you fall or jump off. Bouldering doesn’t require any specialist equipment apart from rock shoes, which can be hired from the centre. 

Roped climbing involves climbing longer and higher climbs and ropes and harnesses are used to stop you falling if you slip. 

What does each climbing wall offer?

The Ridge Climbing Centre – bouldering and roped climbing 

A 1-hour session with one of our instructors – an opportunity to give climbing a try! You will get an introduction to different routes and styles of climbing, including rope climbing and bouldering, at a pace that suits you. 

Summit Up – bouldering and roped climbing 

A taster session is the perfect way to try climbing with one of our knowledgeable instructors taking care of all the rope work, allowing you to focus on the fun! After giving you all the necessary safety information your friendly instructor will spend the hour guiding you through as many different climbing challenges as possible. All appropriate for your level of ability and confidence.

Where? We are offering you the chance to win a taster session at:

We will choose a lucky winner for each centre so make sure you select your preferred centre when you apply!

How do I apply? Make sure you’re signed in to your Exclusives account and click the APPLY NOW button to complete the form.

How will I know if I’ve won? We’ll contact the winners by email, text or DM and send details about how to claim your prize. Keep you eyes on your email and our social media accounts.

Don’t forget! Winners have to be Our Pass members, but they can bring a friend who is not a member. You’ll need to bring and show your Our Pass card on the day.
